The First Art Masterpiece of the 21st Century

Four million visitors flocked to New York's Central Park during the 16-day run of the Gates art installation. New York officials estimate that the 23-mile-long array of saffron-colored fabric generated $254 million in revenue for hotels, restaurants, street vendors, and other merchants.
