Ed Benes

Benes is mainly here because of his spectacular work in Supergirl.

While his men are a little static and posed, his women are fantastic. He can draw them from any angle, often with distorted and perspectivized limbs that still look perfect. The biggest question about his work is which of the two Supergirls in the storyline is drawn better - the classic Supergirl, or the modern version?

Ironically, the series was already scheduled for cancellation before he started drawing, so even though sales picked up, he only got to draw a few issues. He's now continuing his work with the Huntress in Birds of Prey. Update: And Justice League of America.
