TV Shows and Movies
I watch a lot less TV now than I used to. Most of it sucks, frankly. But there are a number of shows that I follow. Some are excellent, others are guilty pleasures:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Witty show that perfectly mixed drama, comedy, satire, intelligence and action. It doubles as a perfect metaphor for young lives, and after seven years, offered the best dialogue and character development you can find in any medium. And on an intellectual level, all the girls are really hot. Visit my Buffy page for more.
The Daily Show
The funniest show on TV. John Stewart and his cast have achieved something better than making fun of stars, shows, and society; they make fun of the media itself, and all the sensationalism and inanity contained within.
Here are some great Daily Show wallpapers and photos.

Lost
My new love ... you'll notice all the top shows here are ensembles, but this one takes the cake. It has like 20 leads! And many are gorgeous, if that matters to you, because it certainly doesn't to me, no sir!
Download Lost wallpapers I made.
Veronica Mars
Great cast in a complex and spunky show with a hot Miss Mars. Download some new Wallpapers here!

Firefly
Short-lived ensemble show with nine great characters in a space Western. The DVD set is great. Serenity, the movie, was even better!
Six Feet Under
Wonderful. Another I'm catching on DVD, recommended by the lovely Rachel. I just finished the first three seasons.

Curb Your Enthusiasm
Larry David's show is like Seinfeld without one-liners. So it's got the intricate plots that all wrap together in the end, and the obsession with small details of everyday life, but throws in some terrible, terrible karma. But it can be painfully uncomfortable to watch, and gets a bit repetitive.
Freaks & Geeks
Just watched this spectacular but short-lived show on DVD. Check it out immediately! (See photos on left)

The Office
Ok, I watched the whole run of this British show. Sometimes I couldn't make out half of what they're saying, but the other half was hilarious, and I thought it would be impossible to top. But the American version did it, and how.

Angel
This Buffy spin-off had its ups and downs, but sometimes hit on great stories. Some of the supporting cast was pretty weak, though. Spike was the best thing about the last season, but now I'm glad it's over.

24
This show's got a great premise. There are some stretches of the imagination (Kim attacked by mountain lions! Mom's got amnesia!) that are especially noticeable if you remember everything's supposed to happen in one day - easy to do when watching it all at once. Also, 4 out of 5 geeky scientists agree that Elisha Cuthbert is on the rather attractive end of the attractitude spectrum. No, it's true.
Alias
Another one I'm catching on DVD. The first season was quite fun. I like seeing all the exotic locales. Now I'm watching the second season and it's getting a bit drawn out. Give me answers, damn it! Ji confirms the whole series is this frustrating.

The Simpsons
Most brilliantly executed, longest-running satire ever created. Misses out on due recognition because of prejudice against cartoons. It should keep running forever ... when are they finally going to create an all-Simpsons network?
Batman Adventures/
Justice League Unlimited

Best cartoons ever created. Terrific drama, cool noir art. Justice League Unlimited this season was spectacular! All of the episodes were part of a large chain that culminated in a grand finalé. The best part - the Speed Force! Also, The Question!

The West Wing
This show's very smart and well-written - too smart and well-written. It's too pretentious, and for me, that's saying a lot. I watched it for years, but there are things that happen on the show that zip past me and don't make any sense. I like the characters, and the fact that some situations mirror actual events, but it's too far-fetched to have such a good president in office. So I stopped watching two years ago.
The West Wing

Smallville
Ok ... the concept is good, the actors are easy on the eyes, and the special effects are magnificent. Who needs plots, themes, and acting? Another guilty pleasure, at least for the first two years. Then we couldn't take it any more.
Birds of Prey
Well, the acting on this show made Smallville look like Macbeth, but you have to hand it to Ashley Scott for being really hot. I wish there were more good things I could say, but no. Good riddance to this guilty pleasure and complete waste of time. But hey, I know you want to see photos and wallpapers, right?

The Flash DVDLots more great shows have come and gone. Some of my favorites include the great Flash TV show (finally out on DVD!), which inspired me to read most of the comics I do today, the classic Muppet Show, Sliders, Mystery Science Theater 3000, The X-Files, Animaniacs, and Seinfeld.

There are lots of movies that I love, and you can click right here to go to my movie page, which lists my favorite movies of all time. It's very cool, according to me.

I have to mention a TV show I've grown to loathe: Access Hollywood. I saw the last five minutes of it by accident again today and had to add it here. Finding out about celebrities is a perfectly adequate pasttime, but those anchors creep me out. It's like they take pride in their insincerity. That guy with the mustache must be one of the most annoying people on earth after CarrotTop.
