George Soros

George Soros I first became intrigued by Soros by reading his "George Soros On Globalization" - which I bought because it had a well-designed cover and was short (see it on Amazon!) His main premise here is that the antiglobalization protestors make some good points against existing global financial institutions such as the WTO, IMF, etc. The point I sympathized with the most is simply that these organizations are not democratic, yet have as much or more influence than our elected officials. Nevertheless, Soros says, tearing them down won't help anybody except the anarchists. Let's reform them instead - and he goes into clear and succinct detail on how to do that.
