This was a favorite project of mine at Meetup. I was inspired to push for a name tag generator on the site since A) when I started using them with my art group they instantly elevated the group's interaction, and B) Meetup's logo is a name tag but we didn't have the obvious tie-in feature. I mocked up the system and presented it to the staff during one of Meetup's Hackathon days, and was able to get support and get it built quickly.
